Marc Edelstein

Profile
My name is Marc Edelstein and I currently reside in West Bloomfield MI, with my wife, Carin, and our two children Dana and Eli. I enjoy hanging out on the lake, golfing poorly, partially reading several books, and spending as much time with my family as possible.
I possess 20 years of originating home loans in Michigan. I have built my business using three core values: honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer service. Honesty is the cornerstone of these values, without it, I would have not been fortunate enough to assist several hundred families with their home financing. Integrity is my second core value; I have shared my knowledge with thousands of families, assisting them with responsible, affordable home loan options. Last, but not least, is exceptional customer service, I communicate extremely well with all parties and set the proper expectations on each and every loan.
I have lasted in this industry as a fulltime mortgage officer through the greatest mortgage collapse in history (2008) by maintaining a consistent goal: to satisfy my clients while creating a positive loan experience.
Mortgage loan officers are a dime-a-dozen and can be found on any street corner, so I have always prided myself on remaining true to my core principals which has led to almost 90% of my business coming from referrals from past clients, realtors, and financial advisors who have seen my passion to do it right, never cut corners, and never leave a client in the dark.
When it comes to my profession, I tend to relate most of my experiences to sports. I strive to be that "go-to" loan officer, one that performs extraordinarily in the face of adversity- like the relief pitcher that is asked to get three outs with the bases loaded in a tie game, or the goalie that is protecting a one-goal lead in the final minutes of the third period. In my 20 years of originating home loans, I have always taken pride in addressing the personal, and sometimes out of the ordinary, circumstances each potential client brings to me.
My passion for education and pursuit to expand my knowledge of the mortgage industry, led me to the Divorce Lending Association of which I became a member and Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP) in 2018. A CDLP brings a unique perspective to the divorce process by being able to recognize any pitfalls that may arise during the settlement process.
I am a proud member of the Military Mortgage Bootcamp, providing our heroes affordable home financing and dispelling myths about the VA home loan within the real estate community in Metro Detroit. I also teach a continuing education course to Realtors on Renovation Lending, FHA 203(k) and Fannie Mae Homestyle.
From first-time buyers to sophisticated borrowers, purchasing your first home or refinancing your current home, I bring my diverse lending background to you as a consultant and team player.
Thanks for reading my profile I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
